Welcome
Pleasant Lake House Bed and Breakfast is one of the oldest houses in Casco,
built on the shore of Pleasant Lake on the north side of the
outlet of lake. This outlet also provided power for lumber and
grist mills established in 1837 on the south side of the outlet.
By 1879, a shook shingle mill and a box factory were also in
operation at the outlet. The mill site later became the landmark
of the sawmill known today as Hancock Lumber where it now houses
their administrative offices. Pleasant Lake House operated as
a hotel from the early 1900's until 1966, at which time it became
a private residence.
The B&B has four beautiful air conditioned guest rooms and
one suite, each with a private bath. Most of the rooms have
a majestic view of the lake. In addition, there is a seasonal
air conditioned cottage with one bedroom, bath, fully equipped
kitchen, living room with gas fireplace, phone, and cable TV.
This cottage sleeps up to six people in full comfort - great
for kids! Pleasant Lake House Bed and Breakfast is not just
a place to stay the night; it is the perfect vacation spot!
Guests can enjoy spending the day on the private beach, paddle
a canoe on the lake, or just relax and enjoy the beautiful lake
side property. There are great trails for hiking and horseback
riding.
Guests may enjoy a round of golf at many area golf courses
including Point Sebago and Naples Country Club. In the winter
months, the lake is great for ice fishing, cross country skiing,
skating and the snowmobile trails come to the door.
Located in the center of the Lakes Region, guests can enjoy
hundreds of other fresh water lakes including Sebago and Long
Lake. The White Mountains, Maine sea coast and the ocean are
less than an hour drive, making Pleasant Lake House Bed and
Breakfast truly a place for all seasons.
